The Story
Feel The Difference
Melissa Didier became interested in design at a young age. As a child, she quickly learned that an accessible way to brighten her world was to move things about a bit. A simple change of scenery could turn a gloomy day into an adventure. She also had a mind for math, and took these skills to be developed at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee’s School of Architecture and Urban Planning. Opportunities to visit France provided formative views on history and texture. She graduated in 2005, earning a BSAS in Architectural Design, with emphasis on Art History and Urban Planning. After a brief career in residential design, she took on perhaps her most challenging and rewarding role, raising 4 children in a 19th century farmhouse. With a limited budget and an active lifestyle to suit, she spent the next 10 years honing a talent to creatively envision a space to accommodate the complicated needs of a busy family. Through organization, thrift, logic and a touch of whimsy, the Didier Family Farm became the successful testing grounds for Melissa’s design aesthetic, now MAVEN Workshop. Melissa has served on the City of Port Washington Design Review Board. Through talent, drive, education & experience, the MAVEN Workshop provides a service unmatched in this region.
She believes creative designs are the result of meaningful dialogue and trust between the designer and client. In every project, she strives to fully understand her clients’ needs and apply their feedback and ideas into her designs.

2.Conceptual Design & Furnishing
Further design work will fully customize our conversations and turn them into applicable designs. A detailed "Lookbook" will be created, including color studies, hand-renderings, furniture selection & shopping guides. The result is a full-color reference for the future needs of your home.

The Touches that Make All the Difference
3.Styling
MAVEN Workshop offers decorating services aimed at busy families, looking for a splash of beauty in a bite sized serving, or, to complete your 3 step process. Small scale decorating can create just the right amount of style to set the tone for the rest of the home. MAVEN is available for contract to return and replace throughout the seasons.
